Greetings!
While in Peru, the basketball team visited one of our five new church plant sites, Carapongo. The following pics show the team receiving instructions from Bryan (red jacket) and Evelyng Huyhua (our church planters in Carapongo). Bryan wanted the team to visit and pray with some of the people they are ministering to in the "bedroom" community of Lima.
One particular family asked us to pray that WR establish a Bible Preaching Church as soon as possible in Carapongo. (A permanent facility that would allow growth. The group was meeting in a house that is no longer available.) The mother, with Carol's hands on her shoulder, asked us to pray specifically that prayer so that she, her family and other believers would no longer have to travel one hour in one direction to worship!
The pics above show Bryan and Evelyng in front of a typical vacant lot in Carapongo. Available lots range in size and are currently costing up to $27,000. What a small investment which will make such a huge impact on this community. Just think, a Bible Preaching Church that will literally change the "Spiritual Landscape" of this area.
