Lima, Peru May 22-30, 2009

American basketball, personal testimonies, public school meetings, crafts, games, “hanging out”, etc., were all used by the Lord to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ during a week of sports evangelism. In all, one hundred and ninety-nine (199) Peruvians experienced the “New Birth in Christ” through faith in Jesus!

This group from Birmingham, Al. witnessed the Lord change the “spiritual landscape” of schools and communities using a variety of ministry venues. Students and adults trusted Christ in large and small groups. And, some in one on one gatherings. Some on basketball courts and in class rooms.

All new converts were encouraged to get “plugged in” to church by coming to La Roca, one of our church plants located on the WR campus. Please pray that the Lord will grow these new believers while maturing them in their walk with the Lord.
