Bible Institute Improves Marriages - Meru, Kenya

MERU, KENYA - Comments from students graduating from the World Reach Bible Institute on February 7, 2009, reveal that the institute is not only having an impact on their pastoring but on their marriages as well. One of the courses taken by the students was "Marriage and the Family." This course looked at marriage from a biblical perspective and dealt with many issues that affect husband/wife relationships.

The importance of a healthy marriage was emphasized by World Reach team member, Paul Whitmore, in his charge to the graduates. He said that if they did not love their wives as Christ loved the Church, their ministry to others would be as a "noisy gong or clanging symbol." In an interview, Pastor John commented how his wife had noticed a positive change in their relationship as a result of his attending the institutes.
