About World Reach

Church Planting

World Reach is committed to Reaching the World Through the Local Church. Church planting is therefore a major part of our ministry. The four phases involved in church planting are as follows:

Phase One: One-on-one and door-to-door evangelism, literature distribution, street preaching, etc.

Phase Two: Continue phase one while discipling new believers through "grow groups," Bible studies and correspondence courses. Select key leaders and initiate training seminars on effective evangelism and discipling techniques.

Phase Three: Continue phases one and two plus select and train a National Pastor and sponsor for a specified period of time.

Phase Four: Continue phases one, two and three plus assistance in building construction, leadership counsel and nurturing of the church.

Once a church has been planted, the Pastor is carefully selected, along with a Board, to assist in governing the church in its outreach. No particular denomination is followed; rather, the choice is left to the Pastoral staff and congregation who must embrace the same doctrinal position as World Reach. Nationals would assume leadership with assistance from the missionary as long as necessary until the church becomes completely indigenous. The church is expected to ultimately become self-sufficient.
